Titchfield is a beautiful character village set on the Meon river in Hampshire on the South Coast of England.  Sandwiched between Portsmouth and Southampton, Titchfield is home to St Peters, one of the oldest churches in the UK.  Today, Titchfield is a thriving community and is famous for the Titchfield Carnival held annually.

Titchfield Canalside footpath flooding

On Wednesday 26 March a meeting was held between Mike Newman from the  Environment Agency, Barry Duffin from Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve and Ian Backhouse, Local Footpaths secretary for the Ramblers Association. The purpose of the meeting was to consider ways of solving the constant winter flooding of the canalside footpath, (Fareham 48), from Titchfield to Meon Shore.
